Breaking Free from the Lies We Believe

How many of us have lived our lives believing the lies of the enemy?

In many cases, entire patterns of our lives are shaped by these lies. Often they go unchallenged, quietly shaping how we think, how we feel, and how we respond to the world around us. Over time, these untruths become deeply embedded in our daily lives.

But there is good news: God has given us the power to confront those lies and replace them with His truth.

Our new dedicated app - the Stronghold Buster App has been created to help people do exactly that. Designed to complement the stronghold-busting teaching found throughout Freedom in Christ courses, the app provides a practical tool to identify faulty beliefs, confront them, and replace them with the truth of God’s Word.

The goal is simple but powerful: to help us live free from the enemy’s manipulation.

Freedom In Christ in Conference!

Art, our Southwest Regional Director, had a stand in the main speaking hall at the Gather Unity Conference, encouraging leaders to stop by - with the help of chocolate and a free book! We’re still not sure which was more tempting.

It was an amazing couple of days. We had 26 leaders - around 30% of the conference attendees - wanting more information about our resources and online courses. We also discovered that about 50% of people already knew who we were, some from many years ago!

At one point Art did wonder, “What am I doing here?” But, as always, God delivered. It was a wonderful opportunity to sow seeds among people we wouldn’t normally get the chance to meet. In fact, Art was so moved by the experience that he could hardly sleep afterwards.

The following month we were off to the New Wine Leaders Conference, but the car getting us there had other ideas! We broke down on the way and had to get a recovery service back to Reading at 3:30am. The next morning we...

Innes’ Sponsored Slim

When Innes first stepped on the scales at Slimming World, she decided to turn her personal goal into something bigger - a sponsored slim to give back as she loses!

We are always deeply encouraged when members of our community choose to give in personal, sacrificial and inspiring ways, and we couldn’t be more grateful or proud of her.

Innes has been connected with us since 2011 and has faithfully served as part of the UK team for many years. She has often shared how much the ministry has poured into her life over that time, and this sponsored slim is her heartfelt way of giving something back.

The transformation is already evident — not just on the scales, but in everyday life too. So far, Innes has lost an incredible 1 stone 9½ pounds, with 2 stone still to go. She recently shared how she’s now able to wear clothes she hasn’t fitted into for a very long time (even if a few might be slightly “old skool” now!).

Encourager Training

It's been great to have kicked off our new training events towards the end of last year, and we already have four under our belt since last November. Our hope going forward is to have one in person event a month, and to reach as many regions of the country as we can. 

To start off we have the Introduction to Freedom In Christ - A two hour event equipping you with all you need to know about our principles, our approach, our main Freedom In Christ Course, and the tools to accompany it.  

Our Getting Started Training is the next step giving you all you need to know about our approach, and our model using the 3T's (Truth, Turning and Transformation), as well as how to run a Freedom In Christ Course, and is foundational to all our other training.

Leadership Retreat 2026

We started the New Year with our Leadership Retreat designed as a follow-up to Freed To Lead, specifically focussed on equipping us for leadership for the long-haul. It was led by Rod Woods and Rob Davies. 

The retreat built on the key themes in Freed To Lead, and included Disarming Disappointment, Leading to Health, and Leading for the Long Haul - when it just feels like you're hitting the wall - amongst other topics! It was a great retreat and managed to catch a few of the participants to get their take on Freedom In Christ!
