All leaders want to be the best they can be. But the truth is that you can read as many "how to" books as you like and still not be a truly fruitful leader. People don't follow leaders who use the right techniques. They follow leaders who are authentic and real.
Christian leaders have a huge advantage over others because they have become new creations in Christ. You know that already, of course, but in this retreat you will be surprised as you are helped to take the truths of this new identity much deeper so that you can learn to lead as the new person in Christ that you are.
Identity-based leadership helps to free us from drivenness and burnout, enables us to survive personal attacks and use conflict positively and enables us to overcome other barriers to effective leadership.
The content has been put together by Rev Dr. Rod Woods, senior pastor at City Temple, London, and a Trustee of Freedom In Christ Ministries, and Steve Goss, the Executive Director of Freedom In Christ Ministries International. Both share extensively from their experiences, and Rod particularly shares how identity-based leadership enabled him not only to survive prolonged conflict but turn it around completely to growth.
This online version of Freed To Lead will be hosted by Rob Davies, Executive Director of Freedom In Christ UK, using Zoom Video Conferencing. The format will include:
- Weekly Zoom Conference on Fridays from 3-4.30pm to watch the videos, pray, share and reflect for 10 weeks.
- Opportunity to connect with the other leaders in the group between sessions via WhatsApp group and email.
- Personal Bible studies to accompany each session to ground everything in scripture.
