Filming of The Grace Course

Registration is closed for this event

31 May 2012 to 1 June 2012

Be part of the audience for the new Grace Course when it is filmed at London School Of Theology on Thursday 31 May and Friday 1 June 2012.

The Grace Course is a new 6-session course that will be published by Monarch in October 2012. At this event, Steve Goss (Freedom In Christ UK) and Rich Miller (Freedom In Christ USA) will present the teaching to a small audience. The event will be filmed and will become the DVD version of the course.

Filming will take place in the chapel at London School Of Theology from 10am to 5pm on both Thursday 31 May and Friday 1 June. Please arrive by 9.30am.

It is important that you attend the full two days and that you turn up if you book a place. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

There is no charge.

The event will consist of 6 teaching sessions and a ministry session:

1. Serving Not Slaving

We all know that we are saved by faith through grace alone. But when it comes to living out our Christian lives, it’s easy to slip into thinking that it comes down to obeying a set of rules or living up to certain standards. Rather than “acting like we think a Christian should act”, we can be freed instead simply to rest in the grace of God. So that we serve Him because we really want to, not because we feel we have to.

2. Innocent!

God is not blessed when people serve Him just because they don’t want to feel guilty if they don’t. Guilt feelings rob us of the joy we are meant to have in our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Understanding the distinction between true guilt and guilt feelings is fundamental to the astonishing realisation that through Christ we have been declared innocent once and for all.

3. Unashamed!

Past experiences, what others say and seeming unable to break free of sin can leave us feeling that there is something fundamentally wrong with us. The truth is that we have become completely new people who can break the cycle of returning time and again to the same old sin issue and who in Christ measure up in full to God’s righteous demands.

4. Courageous!

Our God is an awesome God. But His children can come boldly into His presence without a hint of fear – we are absolutely secure and safe. And if this God is for us, who can be against us? We need fear no one and nothing!

5. Humble!

In the Old Testament, God gave His people His Laws. When Jesus came, He stated plainly that He had not come to do away with the Law but to fulfil it. If we understand how this works, we will neither adopt an “anything goes” attitude nor set ourselves up as nit-picking “guardians of the truth” but will be guided by the Law that is now written on our hearts.

6. Fruitful!

When we feel ground down and exhausted, Jesus makes us an astonishing offer: a light yoke and an easy burden. And He really means it! It seems a paradox but genuinely fruitful ministry that will have value for eternity comes only when we enter into that rest and learn to depend completely on Him.

Ministry component: Steps to Experiencing God’s Grace
