Why give some of your hard-earned cash to Freedom In Christ?
FIC is a small organisation that has had an impact in the UK far greater than its size would suggest:
- Over 3,000 churches use our Discipleship Course
- Over 150,000 Christians have been through the course
- 1,000 or so groups have used FIC For Young People
We want to see this replicated overseas. We are supporting people in a dozen or so countries who are translating our material and getting started in equipping the Church. These countries include Romania, Hungary, Nepal and Iran (where our Discipleship Course will be beamed in by satellite).
In addition, Steve Goss is co-ordinates the FIC International Council that leads all of FIC’s work around the world.
The opportunities opening up in the UK are huge too. Our publisher, Monarch, is keen to work with Steve and Zoë, his wife, to produce new resources for the Church such as:
- The Grace Course – a DVD-based course designed to help Christians understand the astonishing concept of God’s grace and to live their lives for God, not because they feel they have to but because they want to.
- Parenting Course – a DVD-based course to help Christian parents understand how God parents them so that they can do the same for their children.
- FIC For Children – a DVD-based Sunday school and parents’ resource to help children of junior school age understand just how special they are to God.
It is simply not possible for Steve and Zoë to run the office, support all the countries overseas and develop all these new resources and it has become obvious to the Trustees that we need to take on an Operations Director, Gareth Burgess, to release Steve and Zoë to address all these new challenges of growth whilst maintaining an effective support organisation to churches.
We need to raise £30,000 a year to fund this and we'd really appreciate your help. Regular giving is particularly helpful.

Our pledge to you is to maintain a 'lean and mean' organisation that spends as little as possible on administration and channels as much of your giving as possible to places where it makes a real difference.
Look at our latest accounts here. You'll see that we do not maintain large reserves (typically we keep enough to run for just 2 to 3 months) but channel our resources into effective ministry. Thanks to our fantastic team of volunteers, we are able to keep staff and administration costs really low yet still accomplish a great deal.
