What Leaders Say

The Freed To Lead course has been honed and developed through running numerous retreats. Here are some comments from some of the retreat participants:

Leaders Testimonies

Ross is a Church Leader from Sussex, who attended one of the retreats with his leadership team. He had this to say:

"We have five on our Church Leadership Team; apart from two of us, the rest are all new to leadership. When we all attended the course, we found that each of us had a lot of underlying anxieties that weren’t realized, and as we looked at the issue of anxiety within Freed to Lead, we realized that there were areas that God wanted to set us free from. We began to gel much more, as a team we could communicate much better, we began to understand one another’s ways of leading as well, and see where our strengths and other’s weaknesses could interconnect, so that the team were much stronger.

One of the things that Freed to Lead reminded us of was that desperate need for us to live out of who we are in Christ, rather than trying to “do” leadership. I’ve been in leadership in two other places prior to this church, and I realize that a lot of my leadership flowed out of a list of things I thought I ought to do day-in-day-out. I’ve suffered burn-out in that time - so I’ve known the failure of “doing” leadership. As a team it was really encouraging to recognize that as our leadership flowed out of our identity, the very nature of that identity being sure and certain in Christ, meant actually we had a firm foundation for our leadership, which dealt with so much of the anxiety and fear of failure right from the beginning, and gave the team a confidence that they could lead and learn at the same time."

Attending the Freed to Lead course has been the most amazing leadership development experience of my career, despite been called to both market place and church leadership for over 20 years. It dispels worldly leadership myths and practices and provides biblical foundations for Godly leadership whatever type of people group you are called to lead.

The course laid bare the mystery of leadership and provided biblical principles that work in the real world. It fills your leadership 'tool-box' ensuring you are well equipped for the privilege and adventure of leadership, and to help others do the same.

I wholeheartedly recommend this course for anyone who aspires or is currently called to Godly servant hearted leadership in any arena.

Art Moore, Managing Director (SME)

Freed to Lead is a genuinely life-changing leadership course. It is rooted in Scripture and in the real-life and often painful experiences of seasoned leaders. It is hard to put into words how much I benefited from attending Freed to Lead. The content of the course seems to have sunk deep within my being to the extent that since attending, I keep finding myself calling to mind the wisdom shared on the course and applying it in a variety of situations, much to my surprise! More importantly though, it has refocused for me my identity in Christ above everything else, which is more valuable than any leadership idea, technique or strategy.
