Claiming My Freedom

If you are an individual Christian aware of unresolved spiritual conflicts or issues that you don't seem to be able to deal with, this page will give you some possible ways forward.

First, a word of explanation... Freedom In Christ Ministries exists to equip pastors and other Christian leaders. We are, therefore, unable to offer individual Steps To Freedom appointments. Neither do we refer people to churches because we believe that this approach works best for individuals when they go through it within their own church.

We quite understand that this may seem frustrating or downright unhelpful if your church is not using the approach. We're sure you understand, however, that by using our resources to help churches establish "freedom ministries", we can ultimately help many more people than if we offered individual Steps To Freedom appointments.

However, don't despair! We want to assure you that it's possible for any Christian, no matter what their background, to claim their freedom in Christ and we have some suggestions for you.

The best option would be to talk to your church leader about the approach and see if they (or more likely someone else within your church) will help you work through Freedom In Christ's discipleship teaching and The Steps To Freedom In Christ. If this is new to them, assure them that we would be more than happy to explain more to them and to support them as they do that. The next step would be to refer them to the leader's section of this website and suggest they get in touch with us or, alternatively, print off our information for leaders (5.4mb pdf file).

If you are unable to do that, you may be able to work through the process on your own or, better still, with a Christian friend. There are three stages to go through and we have resources to help in each one (all available in our Shop section):

Firstly, it's important that you get hold of the key discipleship teaching. You can do this in a number of ways: you could read Victory Over The Darkness and The Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson ; alternatively you could use the Freedom In Christ Discipleship Course which is available on DVD-video or audio; you may be able to attend one of our regular Living Free In Christ events.

Secondly, go through The Steps To Freedom In Christ. If you have no one to help you through the process, we suggest that you use the Steps To Freedom DVD to take you through. Neil Anderson's book, Restored, is another option.

Thirdly, you need to stand firm in the freedom gained. Session 10 of the Freedom In Christ Discipleship Course will teach you about this. We also recommend the book Walking In Freedom.

Please note - we have a special offer pack of resources for individuals available in our Shop where you will also find other resources for specific issues such as depression, fear, anxiety and addiction.

God bless you as you seek the truth that will set you free!
