Supporting Steve & Zoë Goss

Has your life been touched or your ministry helped in any way by Freedom In Christ and Steve and Zoë Goss?

Would you like to play a part in helping them make an even bigger impact to equip the Church?

Steve and Zoë were happily running a small business when God called them to start Freedom In Christ in the UK. "We had no intention of being in Christian ministry. In the early days we thought we'd give it every Friday afternoon," says Steve, "Little did we know that it would soon take over our lives!"

Having laid down their business to concentrate fully on FIC,  Steve became FIC’s first full-time employee. That move brought some great results:

  • Steve was able to complete the four “Discipleship Series” books now so appreciated by thousands
  • The UK played a significant role in the formation of Freedom In Christ Ministries International and is actively involved in helping offices overseas
  • Well over 150,000 people have been through the FIC Discipleship Course in the UK
  • Steve has helped groups of leaders begin to grapple with applying “freedom principles” to whole areas with clear, positive results
  • With the help of our wonderful teaching team, FIC runs somewhere near 50 training events a year
  • The Freedom In Christ For Young People course was produced in partnership with Freedom In Christ

On 1 January 2012 Steve became International Director of Freedom In Christ Ministries giving him responsibility for strategically equipping all of FIC's offices and representatives around the world. FIC is active in every continent in about 20 countries in total and growing fast. You can see from our news pages how Steve and Zoe work to equip the Church in other countries, for example the news stories on Latvia, Sri Lanka and India.

He retains leadership of the UK ministry but Gareth Burgess, Operations Director, now takes responsibility for much of the day-to-day running of it.

Steve and Zoë divide their time between their international responsibilites and some strategic projects, such as:

  • Developing the new Grace Course to be launched in October 2012 both in the UK and internationally
  • Developing a new resource for younger children scheduled for release in 2013
  • Developing a new parenting resource scheduled for release in 2013
  • Helping establish FIC offices in other countries - they are currently working specifically with people in The Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Latvia, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia with new opportunities opening up all the time.

Steve says, "The UK office is kindly funding us as we launch into the new international work but it can't afford to do that long-term. Our aim is to raise enough money from supporters to cover our costs. Zoë and I aim to build a team of churches and individuals who will support us with regular giving because they want to see this life-changing message impact more and more people right around the world. In return we’ll keep them right up to date with everything that’s going on."
